This gallery brings together a mix of environmental, studio, and candid portrait work. Over the years, the sessions I remember most aren't the ones where someone held the perfect pose — they're the ones where they forgot the camera was there. A shoulder dropping. A real laugh instead of the practised one. That's what I've tried to collect here.

Twenty years behind the lens has taught me that people rarely look like themselves when they're trying to. So I wait. I ask a question, let a silence sit, or just keep shooting past the point where most photographers would stop — and that's usually where the actual person shows up.
